Short version: one optional analytics cookie set, only if you say yes. Here is the long version.
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to remember information about you or your visit. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and device fingerprinting. Laws in the European Union, the United Kingdom and elsewhere require websites to tell you about the cookies they use and, for anything not strictly necessary, to ask your permission first.
eppur.global (the “Site”), operated by Eppur, uses one category of optional cookies: analytics, provided by Google Analytics 4. We use it to understand which pages are read, where visitors come from and how the Site performs, so we can improve it. We do not use advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking cookies, and the Site has no accounts or logins that need functional cookies.
Analytics cookies are set only after you click Accept on the cookie banner. The Google tag itself loads on every page so that it can honour your choice (Google’s “consent mode”), but until you accept it runs with analytics storage switched off: it sets no cookies, stores no identifier on your device and sends Google only a cookieless signal that a page was viewed, which Google does not link to you. Nothing about that changes if you decline.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another using a random identifier. It does not contain your name or email address. | 2 years |
| _ga_L3DG4EVCXL | Google Analytics | Keeps track of a browsing session for this Site’s analytics property. | 2 years |
Google Analytics is configured without advertising features or Google Signals, and Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. Google processes this data on our behalf; see our Privacy Policy for the legal basis, transfers and retention.
The banner on your first visit offers Accept or Decline. Either choice is remembered on your device so you are not asked again. You can change it at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, which reopens the banner. If you switch from Accept to Decline, analytics storage is switched off immediately and no further analytics cookies are set; to remove cookies already on your device, delete them in your browser (section 6).
The Site loads its typefaces from two external services. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files directly from those providers, which means they receive your IP address, the page you are visiting and standard browser information. Those requests are governed by the providers’ own policies, not ours.
| Provider | What it serves | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts (Google LLC) | Poppins and JetBrains Mono typefaces | policies.google.com/privacy |
| CDNFonts | Wotfard typeface | See cdnfonts.com |
To our knowledge neither service sets cookies when serving font files. If you would rather your browser did not contact them, you can block third-party requests with a content-blocking extension; the Site will fall back to a system typeface and remain fully readable.
The Site stores one item in your browser’s local storage: your cookie choice (accepted or declined), so the banner is not shown on every page. This is strictly necessary to honour your decision, contains nothing about you, and is never sent to us or to anyone else. The enquiry form on our Contact page sends what you type to Web3Forms, a form-processing service that forwards it to our inbox; it sets no cookies, and nothing you type is stored by the Site. If that service is unreachable, the form offers a pre-filled email you can send from your own email application instead.
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies through its settings. Blocking all cookies will not affect this Site, but may affect other websites you use.
